Established in 1989, the original Dr. Rockit’s Legendary Blues Bar was an iconic music venue in the Coastal Bend. In 2015, Dr. Rockit’s lease was purchased by the partners of Brewster Street Icehouse and Concrete Street Amphitheater. These partners took over the property giving it a significant clean-up/facelift both in its physical appearance and in its entertainment offerings. Rockit’s Whiskey Bar & Saloon was opened to the public in April of 2015 with an expanded array of activities, entertainment options, and a classic but contemporary beverage menu. Our goal at Rockit’s Whiskey Bar and Saloon was to create a casual but upscale environment that is comfortable, entertaining, and inviting. We think we hit the mark! Come see for yourself.
The Launchpad
The Launchpad is Rockit’s newest addition and features an entire wall of live music memorabilia! The Launchpad has an extensive menu of specialty cocktails & rock-n-roll themed shots. It’s the perfect place to blast off.
The Barrel Room
The Barrel room is the perfect spot for groups & parties with plenty of space & a great view of the stage. It’s got pool tables, an old shoe shine station, plenty of big screen TVs, and tables made from antique whiskey barrels.
The Whiskey Room
Part whiskey room & part concert venue, The Whiskey Room is where you’ll catch all the biggest local & regional acts live in concert and the spot to taste our large selection of high-end whiskeys.
The Beer Garden
Tucked away in the back of Rockit’s is our Beer Garden. Catch live music outside every Friday & Saturday night and there’s an extra bar out there, too. Exciting changes to the space are coming soon!
